Who writes this, and why

Who we are

Elopement Weddings Queenstown is written and maintained by Wonder Weddings, a Queenstown elopement planning and photography team. Everything here comes from running these days in this landscape: which sites work in November wind, what the light does behind the Remarkables in May, how often a heli morning gets called off in September.

How it is funded

There is no advertising on this site and no affiliate income. It is funded by Wonder Weddings, and the commercial return is straightforward: some readers become clients. Every link out to Wonder Weddings is labelled as such and opens in a new tab.

How we handle the conflict of interest

• We tell you when the honest answer is not to buy. The helicopter page exists partly to talk some couples out of a helicopter.
• Cost figures are ranges seen across the district, not Wonder Weddings pricing. Our own pricing is published separately and clearly marked.
• Location entries lead with trade-offs, including for the sites we love most.
• We do not publish invented reviews, statistics or credentials. Where something depends on your date or the authorities, we say to verify it.

What this site is not

It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for the official New Zealand government guidance on marriage licences. It is not a directory — we do not rank or review other Queenstown suppliers.

Corrections

Access rules, fees and timeframes change. If something here is out of date or wrong, tell us at info@wonderweddings.co.nz and we will fix it and note the review date.
